this blog project

this project has helped me think from a point of view of different citizens in different countries. it has also helped speak my mind. some things i like about this project: "meeting" new people, speaking my mind, and learning about different cultures. some things i DONT like about this project: the deadlines, and how few people there are that reply/ post. i dont have any improvement suggestions, because overall this was a fun project.

diversitah!

here in the U.S, we are the most diverse populace in the world in my opinion. after all, we are a nation ofimmigrants. most immigrants came in the early 1900's to ellis island in New York.
truthfully, im not sure if we promote understanding of immigrants, but i know that for the most part, we accept immigrants.

my fave place

My favorite place in the whole world, id have to say is... NORMANDY, france. all other places in france totally suck. normandy is un-touristy, beautiful, home to the best World War 2 museum, and filled with beaches and grassed over shell holes(awesome for picnics). the people are very hospitible, and one of the best, simplest foods is there.... a homemade cheese, butter, tomato, salt, pepper baugette! if you are looking for proof of this, go ther yourself, you'll love it.

TERRORISM!

now, to discuss terrorism. terrorism is horrid, we can all agree on that. no matter what the US does, there will always still be terrorism. when they attacked us on 9/11, we attacked them. yes, that is just, and we got our revenge in my opinion. but we've been in Iraq for so long, and not much has changed. that is why i thinkw e should back out and fopcus on our economy, more than fighting terrorism. our war in Iraq is looking more and more like vietnam. we fight, we lose, we keep fighting, and then we finally had the sense to back out. some fights we just can't win. i'm not saying terrorists will rule the world, i'm just saying we should focus on our own problems or a little bit

my school

the school i go to, Anderson High, is interesting because we have a courtyard( the school isn't just one big building) in the middle of the classes. what i think is neat is that we have vending machines, 5 different lunch lines, a tennis court, 2 basketball courts, an american football field, baseball field, and late start days! my school has many clubs, from ping-pong club, to the Gay-Straight alliance club. we have two school dances every year, homecoming and prom. i guess you could say that my school is pretty big....

illegal immigrants

in the united states, we do have illegal immigrants, most of which come from the south of us. so mexicans, guatemalans, cubans, etc. are usually the illegal immigrats. from what i heard, my country deals with them by deporting them, or giving them a ceretain amount of time to become a citizen. in my opinion, if they work hard, they should be able to stay.
